The Leadership Improvement Plan clarifies someone’s strong and less-than-strong points in the fulfillment of leadership roles. This gives you a good picture of how your employee can develop further, but also what they can best expend their energy on.

For whom and when

How do you guide employees to perform most effectively in their current management function? Or by taking the next step as leader?

The Leadership Improvement Plan combines information about the current leadership behavior of your employee with information about someone’s leadership talents. In this way, your employee knows how to develop or improve their management performance further. And you can guide someone well in their career path as a manager.

The Leadership Improvement Plan also helps to identify current and future bottlenecks: “Does the leadership potential and behavior of this manager match the challenges of the organization?” “Can this manager also deliver a significant contribution in the future?”

Working method

The two questionnaires (Reflector Big Five Leadership and Reflector 360 Leadership) of the Leadership Improvement Plan are user-friendly and accessible online. Following completion of the two questionnaires, a clear personal report is generated incorporating your employee’s results.

The Reflector 360 Leadership provides an answer to the question of to what extent your employee has shown the behavior appropriate to a leadership role in their work up to now.

The Reflector Big Five Leadership clarifies how easily your employee can learn new behavior for a specific leadership role, in terms of personality. Or whether they can develop existing behavior further.

Results and reporting

The Leadership Improvement Plan combines information about someone’s current leadership behavior with their talents for various leadership roles, based on personality.

For each of the eight different leadership roles (innovator, networker, producer, director, coordinator, monitor, team builder and coach), there is a personal result for each leadership role, by the combination of the results on the two questionnaires. The result can take four different forms:

  1. Strength—the employee demonstrates this leadership role well in their performance. It also suits their talents.
  2. Experienced—the employee demonstrates this leadership role well in their performance, but this role suits their personality less well. It is costing them a great deal of energy.
  3. Potential—the employee does not often demonstrate this role during work. Nevertheless, it suits someone’s talents. By using a development path, someone would be able to adopt this role quite easily.
  4. Weakness—the employee does not often demonstrate this leadership role and it suits someone’s talents less well. This is a less-than-strong point and is probably not worth investing in.

The report also contains recommendations and tips on how your employee can develop or improve their management performance.

Support and certification

You can get to work independently with Leadership Improvement Plan. PiCompany supports you setting up the user-friendly Self Service Portal (SSP). With this portal, you can manage questionnaires for participants 24/7. Participants can fill in the tests and questionnaires online, anytime and wherever they want.

Certification training 
Certification is required for the interpretation and feedback of the Leadership Improvement Plan results. PiCompany provides this certification training. Certification authorizes you to interpret the test results and to discuss the report with the participant. This way, you can then manage the test entirely in your own system.
