Company Profile 
PiCompany helps its clients to become, and moreover stay results-oriented. By implementing the building blocks of the High Performance organisation PiCompany produces visible and immediate business results. Our philosophy is that organisations will become ever more flexible. More flexible to be able to adapt to the globalising world in which changes follow each other rapidly. The organisation’s flexibility is highly dependant on people. More than any other investment, investment in people brings high returns. People themselves invest mainly in their own versatility. They are assisted to the full in this by an organisation that indicates what is expected of them and tells them when they have been successful. Combining people-focus with measurability is at the heart of our concepts. 

PiCompany is expanding rapidly within the Netherlands as well as internationally. We choose our partners carefully to meet our requirements in terms of quality and integrity and the ability to implement PiCompany´s tools and concepts. We are currently in the process of transforming several partnerships into formal joint-ventures worldwide using the name PiCompany (the performance improvement company).

PiCompany was founded in Arnhem in 1994 under the name PiMedia. Co-founders Peter van der Bel and Martijn van der Woude gave the impetus for the organisation. Their idea was to implement Assessment Centre techniques in organisations in order to make managers more effective. The 360-degree feedback instrument Reflector was their first product. This product and many of the HR products and services that followed have made PiCompany a leader in its field.

Connector Ability
Connector Ability is a new, unique cognitive ability test that measures the G factor, the general intelligence factor. Connector Ability is unique because the test is free from cultural bias; it is adaptive and is available online 24x7. The test is free from cultural bias due to the fact that language and culture exert no relevant influence on the test results. The adaptive nature of the test means that the level of each question depends on the answer to the previous question. A specific assessment of the candidate’s level is made, making it very efficient in terms of time, and every candidate is presented with a unique set of questions. Cognitive ability tests are proven to be the most effective predictors of success in the work context. Connector Ability does this reliably, quickly and efficiently.

Reflector Big Five Personality 
Reflector Big Five Personality is a modern online personality questionnaire providing a comprehensive overview of how an employee scores on the five most important personality traits on which people differ, as well as a number of aspects underlying these five traits.

Reflector Big Five Personality covers the following five personality factors:
· Instability: the extent to which we respond emotionally to setbacks;
· Extraversion: the extent to which we actively maintain contacts with others;
· Openness: the extent to which we look for new experiences and new ideas;
· Accommodation: the extent to which we place other people’s interests above our own;
· Conscientiousness: the extent to which we act in an organised and goal-oriented manner.

The questionnaire focuses on behaviours that people show in work situations. The questionnaire paints a portrait of the measured personality traits of an employee insofar as they match the competencies required for the work they do.

Reflector 360
To gain insight into their own capabilities, employees should be able to systematically evaluate their own competencies. But that is just one possible perspective. For a more balanced view, it is equally important to get the various individuals in the employees' environment involved in the assessment – for example, supervisors, colleagues, employees and customers. The similarities and differences between the various perspectives – also known as 360-degree feedback – offer valuable starting points for discussions about the deployment and development of competencies.

Reflector 360 creates a map of behaviour in the workplace. This behaviour is described in terms of competencies, such as customer focus, leadership, commitment, entrepreneurship, etc. In the questionnaire, the competencies are developed into descriptions of concrete behaviour. Effective versus ineffective behaviours are compared in each case.

An international bank
asked PiCompany to create an online ´career check´, composed of validated instruments. The Collective Labour Agreement states that every employee of this bank is entitled to this ´career check´, however the careers advice centre was not equipped to deal with such a demand. Read more
